Mr Rommel Merruf Alcala, a new teacher from the Art Department, started his passion for reading when a friend lent him a book in college. For him, reading books is fun because he can share new knowledge to his students, colleagues and to her loving daughter.
As an art teacher, he believes that drawing is another way to communicate and express oneself, this is the same principle why he loves books about drawing and the graphic arts. He is fond also of reading graphic novels, fiction and books about mentoring students.
He encourages everyone to read any genre of books. Reading, for him, will help build imagination and will refresh our knowledge. He hopes that the students will realize more the value of reading and the “magic” it can bring.
